Design
Architecture developed specifically around the site, climate, views, brief and required level of customisation.
BAUHU Remote Locations
Architect-designed residences engineered, manufactured and delivered for places where conventional construction is difficult, expensive or impractical.
Build Where Building Is Difficult
Private islands, remote coastlines and isolated resort sites rarely have the construction infrastructure of established towns and cities. Skilled labour can be scarce, materials expensive to import, weather unforgiving and every additional site delivery costly.
Bauhu approaches the problem differently. The residence is designed as an integrated building system from the start — architecture, structure, envelope, manufacture, shipping and assembly considered together.
Conventional construction brings the construction industry to the island. Bauhu brings the building.
The Bauhu Route
Architecture developed specifically around the site, climate, views, brief and required level of customisation.
Structure, connections and building envelope coordinated as one resilient system.
Precision components produced in a controlled environment with repeatable quality and tolerances.
Procured and manufactured components are brought together against the approved project information before dispatch.
Containerisation, handling and sea freight are coordinated around the realities of the destination and access route.
The local team works from coordinated project information and detailed assembly guidance for sequencing, connections and key construction stages.
Bauhu remains available during assembly to assist with technical questions and interpretation of the project documentation.
Who We Work With
One-off custom architect-designed homes for private islands, remote coastlines and difficult-access sites where conventional construction becomes unusually complex.
Boutique resorts, eco-retreats, wellness destinations and hospitality projects that need premium architecture with far less dependence on local construction infrastructure.
Villa communities, private clubs, branded residences and multi-building projects delivered through a repeatable architectural, structural and logistics strategy.
Why Bauhu
Bauhu reduces reliance on scarce specialist trades through rationalised components, repeatable connections and clearly defined assembly sequences.
Procurement, consolidation, containerisation, shipping and handling are coordinated as part of the building delivery strategy rather than left as disconnected site problems.
Structure, roof systems, openings and envelope can be engineered together for hurricane exposure, uplift, salt, humidity and long-term marine durability.
Factory manufacture reduces waste, repeated deliveries, construction traffic and prolonged site activity in environmentally sensitive locations.
Control Before Site
More of the component, procurement and packing decisions are resolved before dispatch, reducing avoidable repeat freight.
Rationalised components and planned assembly reduce reliance on finding every specialist trade locally at the exact moment it is needed.
Manufacture, consolidation, shipping and site assembly are planned as connected stages, with project-specific assembly information supporting the local team once the package arrives.
Approved project information is carried through engineering, procurement and manufacture so discrepancies can be found before they become site problems.

After Delivery
Each project is supported by coordinated assembly information developed around the building itself, including structural sequencing, connections, envelope installation, material requirements and key construction stages.
During assembly, Bauhu remains available to assist with technical questions and interpretation of the project documentation. The local contractor and appointed professionals retain responsibility for site execution, supervision and professional judgement.
Less Site Dependency
While foundations and enabling works progress on site, the superstructure can be manufactured in parallel. This reduces exposure to labour shortages, weather delays and repeated emergency material shipments.
The result is a premium architectural product with greater control over quality, programme and remote-location logistics — without reducing the residence to an off-the-shelf modular unit.
